ASIC Hosting FAQ
Q: Do you sell any hardware?
A: We do not. Our customers purchase hardware and then we provide server colocation. By sending us their units straight from the manufacturer, our clients save both time and money.
Q: What mining services do you provide?
A: We provide a colocation service for hardware that is based specifically around cryptocurrency mining. The miner you provide us will be in a major pool and mine on a preferential server. We have put in places measures that provide instant notification whenever a unit is not hashing. We also have a team that attends to these issues as soon as possible to ensure your unit has the highest possible uptime.
Q: How long are hosting terms?
A: We have three different contracts to choose from, either 3, 6, or 12 months.
Q: Where is Bitcoin ASIC Hosting located?
A: The facilities that we manage and operate are located throughout the state of Washington and the USA.
Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: We accept USD in the form of a check or as a direct deposit into our company’s Bank of America account. We also accept BTC (Bitcoin Core)for a 1.369% fee. International customers have the ability to pay through wire options.
Q: What happens if I prepay before my units arrive?
A: We will not begin your hosting time until we receive your units.
Q: How do you handle units, like the KnC miners, that do not come with their own power supply?
A: You have the option of sending a power supply for your unit to us, or we can purchase power supplies for you and bill you the price. Because cheap or low-quality power supplies are the number one reason miners fail, we recommend not cutting corners here. You’ve already invested in your miners, you should also invest in quality power supplies.
Q: How soon will my unit start mining after you receive it?
A: This depends on how quickly clients can provide their tracking info. We would like to get each unit up and running the day it arrives, and this is more achievable if we have that tracking information.
Q: When will your facility be ready?
A: We are currently in full operation and are accepting hardware for colocation. To receive a hosting quote, you can email us at hosting(at)asichosting(dot)net.
Q: What happens if my miner breaks?
A: Although hardware malfunction is rare, it does happen. Our team is experienced and will troubleshoot the unit to the best of our abilities. If we cannot repair the unit, we will consult both the owner of the unit and the manufacturer of the Bitcoin mining hosting hardware for further instructions.
Q: Can I change my account’s wallet address and contact information?
A: No. Allowing this would create unnecessary levels of risk and expose our clients to vulnerability, which we will not tolerate.
Q: Do you have insurance?
A: We do not insure against lost profits or hardware failure, but we do insure against theft and Acts of God.
Q: Is there a setup fee?
A: Yes. A onetime fee of $21 per U covers network setup, configuration, and cabling.
Q: What happens at the end of my hosting term?
A: You can either pay for your unit to be extracted, or it will be disposed of.
Q: Do your facilities support high-density mining?
A: Yes. We support multi-megawatt deployments for single units.
Q: Do you accept non-rack mountable gear?
A: We have experience with non-traditional mining farms.
